Bonus Rounds and Payouts
The 3 pixelated Alien Invader icons are the game’s lowest paying symbols and
reward players with 20x their bet for 5 of a kind in a winning combination. The
Blue Spaceship symbol pays slightly more, at 25x the player’s bet for 5 in a
row. The Green U.F.O pays out 30x for the same combination, while the Purple
Alien pays out 50x. The Orange Planet is the game’s most valuable symbol and
awards players with 150x their bet for landing 5 of these symbols in a winning
combination on the reels.
The Invaders Turn Wild feature is activated randomly whenever the cannon
below the reels decides to fire into either reel 2 or 4. The cannon will shoot
at the low value symbols in the reel, causing the symbols to disappear. The low
value symbols will now be replaced with Wilds to assist in winning combinations.
The wins from the spin will now be re-calculated with the new Wild symbols in
place.
There is also a U.F.O that flies above the reels. If the U.F.O and the Cannon
stop on the same reel after a spin, the U.F.O Wild Feature will be activated.
The Cannon will shoot at the U.F.O and the player will be rewarded with a free
re-spin with as many as 9 additional Wilds thrown into the mix, leading to
potentially much higher wins.
Additional Game Features
Space Invaders has a wide variety of betting options to suit a wide variety
of players, suiting both novices and high rollers alike. Once players are
comfortable with their coin size and betting amount, they can make use of the
slot game’s ‘Turbo’ button. This button is much like an AutoPlay feature and
will allow players to speed up their game by spinning the reels automatically on
their allocated bet for a certain amount of spins. This saves the player from
pressing ‘Spin’ each time, thus speeding up the game.

Playtech has done a wonderful job in bringing this retro arcade game back to
life in the form of an online slot game. The slot may seem a little simple
compared to the usual Playtech game, but some introspection proves that it has
unique and innovative features that we haven’t noticed in any other slot games.
