Aladdin’s Treasure Slot Machine

Aladdin’s Treasure is a 5 reel, 100 pay line slot machine from 777igt that’s
been developed for online casinos.

While there are several slot machines that center on Aladdin, 777igt’s
version is the only online slot that’s licensed by Disney.

This means you get the pleasure of seeing real Disney animations on the reels
– as opposed to generic versions presented in other Aladdin slots.

As you may know, Disney’s Aladdin was a big hit when it was released in 1992,
grossing over $504 million at the box office.

This film tells the story of how Aladdin, thanks to help from Genie, rose
from a street urchin to marry the beautiful Princess Jasmine.

How well does Aladdin’s Treasure stick to the movie script? And does this
game measure up to the classic film?

Find out as we look at Aladdin’s Treasure’s atmosphere, music, pay table,
graphics, bonuses, betting options, and rules. We’ll also discuss how this slot
compares to a couple of other Aladdin themed slot machines.

Aladdin’s Treasure Slot Machines Overview

Atmosphere / Background

Aladdin’s Treasure opens with an introduction that shows sand blowing while
camel riding travelers make their way across the desert. This scene remains the
background throughout the game, but the reels cover most of it.

Princess Jasmine stands to the right of the reels, dressed in a light blue
outfit, just like in the movie. While this is a nice touch, the only movement
that she makes involves blinking her eyes.

This differs from many other slot machines with visible main characters, who
celebrate winning payouts along with you.

The spin and auto spin buttons are marked by genie lamps, while you’ll see
Arabian shaped symbols designating other game options.

Summarizing the background, we like the spin and pay line markers along with
how Jasmine is visible. But we think this game would benefit from a palace or
city background, rather than desert and shadowy figures riding camels.

Music and Sound Effects

The main game features an Arabian style tune that’s pleasant to listen to for
a while. But we found ourselves muting the volume after hearing it so long.

Given that this slot is based directly on the Disney film, it would’ve been
nice to hear some of the hit songs like A Whole New World. Of course, this also
requires separate licensing, so it’s understandable why 777igt didn’t go this
route.

Sound effects include: a lawn mower type sound when you spin the reels, a
dreamy jingle after winning combinations, and coins adding up during wins. The
latter sounds just like when you collect coins on the Nintendo game Super Mario
Bros.

The sound effects don’t perfectly match Aladdin’s Treasure’s content, but
they blend well with the music to create an action packed game.

Animations

Animations include: Aladdin & Jasmine floating on a magic carpet, Genie
coming out of the lamp, Genie floating around, Iago parrot waiving, and coins
bursting out of the reels during big wins.

Aladdin’s Treasure Pay Table and Graphics

The pay table can be accessed by clicking a small button on the left hand
side. Below are the symbols and payouts that you’ll find:

Mega Jackpot

The entrance to the Cave of Wonders serves as the Mega Jackpot
symbol. You win this progressive Mega Jackpot by landing 5 Cave of Wonders in a
pay line.

Mini Jackpot

Jafar, Aladdin’s nemesis, is the only major character who
doesn’t appear in this slot. This is probably why a wizard in a purple hat
serves as the Mini Jackpot symbol.

Minor Jackpot

A wizard wearing an orange cloak is the Minor Jackpot symbol.
Just like the Mega and Mini Jackpot, this prize is also awarded with 5 symbols
in a pay line.

Magic Carpet Ride Wild

Aladdin & Jasmine flying on a magic carpet are the
wild symbol, substituting for everything except the jackpot, bonus, and free
spins symbols. The wild symbol also awards 150 coins when you land 5 in a pay
line.

Aladdin & Jasmine

Featuring Aladdin and Jasmine embracing, this symbol pays
200 coins for 5 symbols, 40 for 4, and 12 for 3.

Iago – Jafar’s parrot henchman pays 150 coins for 5 symbols, 40 for 4, and 12
for 3.

Princess Jasmine

Dressed in a purple outfit, the solo Jasmine symbol pays
120 coins for 5 symbols, 30 for 4, and 12 for 3.

A

The A pays 100 coins for 5 symbols, 30 for 4, and 10 for 3.

K

This letter offers 80 coins for 5 symbols, 25 for 4, and 10 for 3.

Q

The Q pays 60 coins for 5 symbols, 25 for 4, and 10 for 3.

J, 10

These two symbols both pay 50 coins for 5 symbols, 20 for 4, and 10
for 3.

Abu Monkey

Aladdin’s monkey friend offers a scatter payout whenever he
appears 3 or more times anywhere on the reels. Abu’s scatter payouts are worth
100x your triggering bet for 5 symbols, 30x for 4, and 5x for 3.

Genie

Voiced by the late Robin Williams in the movie, Genie triggers free
spins when he appears 3 or more times on the reels.

Genie Lamp

The lamp triggers a second screen bonus when it lands anywhere
at least 3 times.

Symbol Graphics

Aladdin’s Treasure features good symbol graphics that match what’s seen in
the movie. It’s easy to recognize the likeness of Aladdin & Jasmine, Abu, Iago,
the Sultan (bonus), and the Cave of Wonders.

The only suspect symbol is the solo Jasmine, which, although not bad looking,
is further back from the screen and harder to see.

We also think that including two wizards is odd, along with the exclusion of
Jafar. It doesn’t make sense why all of the other characters except the main bad
guy are featured.

Aladdin’s Treasure Slot Bonus Features

Besides using licensed Disney characters, one of the great things about
Aladdin’s Treasure is how many extra features it includes. Here’s a look at the
free spins, second screen bonus, and three jackpots that you can trigger.

Free Spins

The Genie scatter symbol offers 15 free spins for 5 symbols, 10 spins for 4,
and 5 for 3. When you trigger free games, gold letters will flash on the screen
while a voice shouts out that you’ve earned free spins.

The actual spins have no extra theatrics and use the same background as the
main game.

Bonus Round

When you land 3 or more genie lamp scatters, you’ll be taken to a palace
chamber with two lamps. You’ll also see the Sultan standing on both sides, which
is the only time he makes an appearance in the game.

You keep earning prizes by rubbing the available genie lamps, and the bonus
ends when one of the lamps dims.

3 Jackpots

As mentioned before, Aladdin’s Treasure has three different jackpots in the
Mega, Minor, and Mini Jackpots.

At the time of this writing, the Mega Jackpot is worth $1,109,964, the Minor
Jackpot is worth $559,982, and the Mini Jackpot is worth $369,998.

As you can see, all of these jackpots are impressive when compared to other
games – especially the seven figure Major Jackpot.

Betting Options

Pay lines can be adjusted from 10 100 through the Bet Lines button at the
bottom of the screen. You can only change lines in increments of 10, but we
didn’t mind this limitation considering that there are 100 pay lines.

You can also change your coin size from $0.01 to $1.00. This makes the game’s
minimum bet worth $0.10 and the max wager worth $100.00 per spin.

Auto spin allows you to keep the reels automatically running for 10, 20, 30,
40, 50, or infinity spins. Note that the infinity option is listed as 100 on the
menu.

Any time that you want to stop auto spin, click the Stop button in the lower
right hand corner.

Other Options

The only other option in Aladdin’s Treasure includes using the speaker button
in the upper left hand corner to adjust the volume level.

Win Frequency

Aladdin’s Treasure’s win frequency is below average for a 100 pay line slot
machine. Based on the number of times you win, this feels like a 30 pay line
slot.

Of course, when you use all 100 lines like we did, you’re bound to win
numerous times. Around two thirds of our spins were winners, with the vast
majority of these being 3 symbol payouts with the letters / number.

We played 250 300 spins, triggering free spins several times and the second
screen bonus twice. But most of this occurred towards the beginning of the
session, and then we went through a dry spell with the bonuses.

Given that win frequency isn’t high in this game, we recommend playing 50 100
lines at one cent per line.

Game Rules

Aladdin’s Treasure features standard rules for a 5 reel slot machine,
including the following:

  • All non-scatter payouts must form left to right, beginning with the
    leftmost reel.
  • Payouts are multiplied by on your line stake, i.e. if you bet $0.10, a
150 coin payout would be worth $1.50.
  • The Abu scatter can pay anywhere as long as it lands 3 times on the
reels. Likewise, the Genie and lamp symbols trigger bonuses when they land
    anywhere 3 or more times.
  • You must get 5 Cave of Wonders, purple wizard, or orange wizard symbols
to win the Mega, Minor, and Mini Jackpots respectively.

Comparison to Other Aladdin themed Slot Machines

Not only are there multiple Aladdin themed online slots available, but the
names also run close together. This is why we’ve chosen Topgame’s Aladdin’s
Treasures for one comparison so that you don’t get it confused with 777igt’s
same titled game.

We’ll also compare Aladdin’s Treasure to the Aladdin slot machine since
they’re both made by 777igt.

777igt’s Aladdin

This 5 reel, 25 pay line is a generic take on the Aladdin story, and the
genie and monkey are the only available characters.

The palace, genie, and monkey are the Major, Minor, and Mini Jackpot symbols
respectively. The fruit basket offers scatter payouts, a vase triggers free
spins, and the magic carpet triggers the bonus round.

As you can see, Aladdin’s special features are the exact same as Aladdin’s
Treasure – just with different symbols. But two areas where we see separation
are in Aladdin’s background and music.

The background features a cityscape, much like the streets where Disney’s
Aladdin ran before finding the magic lamp that changed his life.

The music is a serious Arabian tune, which we like better than Aladdin’s
Treasure’s dance style music.

The big downside to Aladdin is that its symbol graphics aren’t as crisp as
those see in Aladdin’s Treasure. Most of these exact symbols appear in Realtime
Gaming’s Aladdin’s Wishes, where the graphics aren’t as impressive as featuring
real Disney characters.

For this reason – along with the fact that Aladdin doesn’t even include the
title character – we think that Aladdin’s Treasures is the better game.

Topgame’s Aladdin’s Treasure

If Aladdin were made into a real life movie, or at least an Xbox One or
PlayStation 4 game, it would look similar to Topgame’s Aladdin’s Treasure.

The graphics are outstanding, with the generic Aladdin, Princess Jasmine,
Genie, and Jafar characters looking very realistic.

We also like the music, which lies in between the Aladdin slot machine’s
serious tone, and 777igt’s Aladdin’s Treasure’s lighthearted music.

The background is an open building in the marketplace. This looks good
visually, but we prefer the cityscape of the Aladdin slot due to the atmosphere.

Aladdin’s Treasure doesn’t have jackpots, but it does feature scatter
payouts, free spins, and a second screen bonus. The latter sees you try to find
an item that you can trade for a magic genie lamp.

If you like the Disney movie, but have always wanted to see a more realistic
version, then we recommend that you try Topgame’s Aladdin’s Treasure.

Conclusion

While the Aladdin themed slot market is a competitive one that boasts several
good games, 777igt’s Aladdin’s Treasure has one quality that stands out above
all – licensed Disney characters.

It’s fun seeing the exact Disney versions of Jasmine, Abu, the Sultan, Iago,
and Aladdin, rather than the stock characters seen in other games. In addition
to including the characters, 777igt designed these symbols with rich color that
really makes them pop.

Other likable aspects of Aladdin’s Treasure include the multiple special
features, including jackpots, free spins, scatter payouts, and a second screen
bonus.

Although the average player has no chance of winning them, the jackpots are
huge and create additional excitement on every spin.

The bonus round is a simple pick’em game, but it’s still nice that you
occasionally get a break from the reels.

One drawback to Aladdin’s Treasure is that the sandy background doesn’t
reflect how most people see the story. 777igt could’ve at least included the
Cave of Wonders in the background since they went this direction.

But other than the nondescript background, Aladdin’s Treasure is a quality
slot that will appeal to fans of the Disney film.
